Our process
Six steps. About four weeks. No surprises.
Most contractor process pages are vague enough to mean anything. Ours is specific enough to hold us accountable.
Discovery call
Phone consultation. Confirm scope is a fit, ballpark budget, schedule the in-home visit.
Short call so neither of us wastes a Saturday. You describe the bathroom; we ask about home, neighborhood, timeline. If scope is outside what we do (under $9,500, whole-home gut), we'll say so and recommend someone better.
What this step is NOT
- Pressure to schedule on the spot
- Generic phone-bank dispatch — you'll talk to someone who's been in the trade, not a sales scheduler
In-home consultation
We measure, photograph, and walk through finish ideas. No high-pressure sales.
We bring tape, camera, finish samples. Measure, photograph, check behind walls where possible. Layout options, must-haves vs nice-to-haves, finish direction. Ask anything — we leave so you can think.
What this step is NOT
- A signed contract on the spot
- "Today-only" pricing or expiring discounts
- A canned pitch — every consultation is the actual bathroom in front of us
Fixed-price proposal
Line-item proposal with material allowances. The price you sign is the price you pay.
Written proposal, every line itemized: demo, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, paint, fixtures, allowances. Premium-finish upgrades listed separately. Sign and the price locks — no surprise change orders.
What this step is NOT
- Hidden allowances designed to bait-and-switch
- Open-ended hourly billing
- Vague "and labor" lines that grow during construction
Design + selections
We help you pick tile, fixtures, vanity, paint. We coordinate orders and delivery.
Tile, vanity, mirrors, faucets, lighting, paint. Pick from our suppliers (Floor & Decor, Daltile, Kohler, Delta, Moen) or shop independently with our allowance numbers. We order, track, stage so construction starts on schedule.
What this step is NOT
- Markup hidden in finish selections — our allowances are at supplier list price
- Pressure to use our preferred suppliers
Construction
Daily site updates. One project manager. Clean job site every evening.
Same crew from demo to finish — drywall, tile, paint, trim all in-house. Daily site updates by text with progress photos. One project manager, one point of contact. Vacuumed and walked every evening.
What this step is NOT
- Sub-contractors you've never met working in your home
- Dust and debris left for you to handle
- Surprise change orders for unforeseen conditions — see step 3
Walkthrough + warranty
Final inspection together. Lifetime workmanship warranty in writing.
Walk through together. You build the punch list; we resolve every item within 7 business days. You sign off when you're satisfied. Lifetime workmanship warranty in writing — caulk, grout, fixtures all covered. Manufacturer warranties separate and assigned to you.
What this step is NOT
- Warranty conditional on "regular maintenance" loopholes
- A 1-year warranty that quietly expires
Step 1 starts with a 15-minute phone call.
The whole commitment. If it's not a fit, we tell you on the call.
